Fritzbox Router

Hi All, I got NBI installed through IFA this week. 500mb at the router but it drops fairly significantly upstairs (from 490mb to 45mb when standing directly above the modem in bedroom). is this due to the fritzbox router or is there any other way to improve it? Just to add, they arent concrete floors or anything. Just…

foil-backed plasterboard might reduce the signal significantly - does that apply to your case?
Dedicated AP in the areas where you require signal boost, preferably on Ethernet cable connection
