Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Looking to invest in a smart trainer.

Been looking at the Zwift Hub One (€479 with 1 year Zwift membership) or the Wahoo Kickr Core (€599 with 1 year Zwift membership)

Both review well. I'm only a noob so I think the cheaper Hub One would suit my needs.

I'm unsure about the Zwift Cog.

Are there any others I should be taking into consideration?

Does the new shifting mechanism on the Zwift Hub One essentially only work with Zwift? If you don't subscribe to Zwift, will you still have full range of gearing?

Yeah the virtual shifting only works with Zwift. Actually watched a good video on it last night by DC Rainmaker, you can easily swap the Zwift cog for a standard cassette to use the trainer outside of the Zwift ecosystem.

That video also said the Zwift trainers have been discontinued as they've partnered with Wahoo. They'll be updated for next 2 years but that may be it. So probably best off going with the Wahoo, you can buy it with the Zwift cog if you want.

Thanks. Only saw ones from 2020/2021 when searching
