Feel that's that for Honey Badger unfortunately.

Poor Williams just cant get a break with their chassis

Ricciardo lost about 5 places off the line then swerved into Albon. Woeful driving.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,870 ✭✭✭Jacovs

If Albon's chassis is fooked, will they give him Logan's again for the next race?

I’d assign more blame to Albon if anything, he was trying to overtake at the wrong place, Danny was on the racing line. But you’re right, racing incident. Shame they’re both out though.

    Bad start from Yuki too.

I don't know, Albon had already been squeezed previously and found himself where he was - trying to line himself up to overtake.

RIC was trying to regroup after a bad start and only seemed to look to his left and reacted to whoever was there which ended up with him clipping Albon.

Either ways it is a racing incident and to be expected somewhat given where and when.

Good stuff the drivers are unscathed in that one. You know what that means with a red flag, parc ferme rules out the door. Change wing angle! Get those right tyres on.

Those aramco boards in front of the tyres don’t look secured at all, like they are just leaning against the tyre barrier behind.
    10 mins before restart.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,509 Mod ✭✭✭✭Andrew76

Oh that looked like soft tyres fitted to Max’s car?

Edit: Nope I’m blind, he’s still on mediums. 🙂

Bernie raises a good point re the gamble with Merc on the hard tyres. Just depends on how they get on at the restart

    some issue with timing screen?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,352 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

DRS enabled graphic is a bit late. Perez had it open last time around.

Hamilton ever the team player. Asking should he, before being told to.

That lock up earlier by Russell doesn't seem to be having too much of an effect, although he has reported issues over the radio.

    The undercut is strong.

    Checo at 130R!

LeClerc being left out very long on those mediums.

When he pits he will be some way back, but obviously trying for a one stop.

    Mercedes are going backwards now

    Some pitstop from Yuki

Charles will have to come in now before he goes out.

    Green tinted tyres now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,110 ✭✭✭✭Frank Bullitt

Could be a lovely final stint now…behind Red Bull of course

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,352 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Logan did well to keep that car going.

At least he didn't hit the barrier.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,352 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Norris locks up under pressure from Sainz.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,352 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Sainz overtakes Norris and now finds himself 2 seconds behind LeClerc.

He has already been told he is free to race for a podium.

I’ll tell ya what lads, watching a race with offset strategies when you’re stoned is really hard to follow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,352 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    Sainz secures a podium.

Stroll could catch Tsunoda here, hopefully not.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,352 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Stroll on the helium there with that radio message.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,112 ✭✭✭Longing

    That was so funny

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,352 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    Russell with the torpedo

I am sorry, that isn't great racing action. Russell out of order there.

I just woke up now and will catch the last few laps.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,352 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Alonso tuned in there giving Piastri DRS

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,509 Mod ✭✭✭✭Andrew76

Yep it’s like Singapore again when Sainz have DRS to Norris to keep Russell behind.

    Ah damn, mistake from Piastri.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,112 ✭✭✭Longing

    Well done Max. Bravo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,352 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

    Japaneasy for Redbull.

    Alonso did well.

Did they have driver of the day up?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,076 ✭✭✭✭Jordan 199

Suzuka is such a great circuit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,509 ✭✭✭sioda

    Le Clerc

Red Bull really draining the enjoyment out of F1 for me 😔

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,033 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

Tsunoda needs to look after his back carrying the weight of the team

It was admirable of him alright.
There is no point is holding up a teammate who is so obviously outperforming him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,755 ✭✭✭This is it

Enjoyed that. Most over taking done in turn one but a few elsewhere also. The different strategies were great to see unfold, especially with Ferrari.

Delighted for Sainz again. LeClerc had a brilliant first stint on the mediums after a disappointing qualy. Obviously Red Bull still a bit out in front but happy to see Ferrari best of the rest.

    Happy for Yuki too

Normal service resumed with the Max Verstappen podcast. Lovely.
    Not a bad race tbf.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,412 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

Good to see different strategies, DRS seemed to make overtaking easy enough if they had straight line speed advantage

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,442 ✭✭✭✭AMKC
    Ms

Just seen the race now. It was OK. Certainly not a classic and not the best race at Suzuki ever. There have been better.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

watched it earlier this morning half asleep. It took me several looks to realise that it was Dany Ric and another car in the tyre barrier at the start. Good performance from Sainz.
