Fence concrete H posts to far apart

Looking to replace panels in current fence. Just nail a one inch timber strip onto each panel

Common issue with old installs when panels went metric from 6ft to 1.8 mtrs. Simply attach a lat to the side of the panels.

I live in a windy area, would a lat hold up do you reckon?
I was thinking of getting custom made panels but if a lat will work then great.
