    A couple of questions:

    1. I am not getting sedation for a dental implant - lower molar, is this normal?
    2. Is there much discomfort/pain after getting a dental implant?
    3. Are stitches always required or does this depend on the complexity etc.

I'm just wondering what shape I will be in the next day as I have to go out that night.

    Thanks.

    1. Undergoing dental implant without sedation can be normal depending on the indiviudal's sitautions. it depends on some situation like . If you are not feeling any type of anxiety and your allover medical conditions are stable. However sedation is used by the dental specialsits while performing the dental implant treatment to reducde the amount of pain and discomfort. But it's normal not to use the sedation for dental implant if your medical conditons are stable depending on your individual situations.
    2. Recieving pain or discomfort after getting a dental implant can vary from person to person. Some amount of pain and discomfort can be experienced for the first few days after the dental implant surgery. The pain can be manged by taking pain reliveing pills like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. As , each person's tolerance capacity is different some may feel the pain tolerable while some may feel discomfort for some couple of days after the implant surgery.
    3. The requirement of stiches after a dental implant surgery depends on the complexity of the case and the surgical tehcinique using by the dentist. So, the stiches may or may not be requried after a dental implant surgery depends on the complexity of the case.
