Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Removing a Door

Is it possible to remove an external side door from a house under construction at the last minute or do you need a planning amendment to do so? I plan to install the lintel for it but need to keep costs under control right now and maximise the utility room space it opens into. There's a lift and slide door to the rear of the house to exit from the kitchen/living space. The utility is a non habitable room and there's a front door of course. Just wondered where the issue might be, only on selling & I should get a planning amendment in place before then? Or is that even necessary? The door isn't visible from the road at all. It could still be reinstated at a later date if required. Thanks!

Changing the elevation like that is not in accordance with the plan. IMO you'd need to get it rectified in terms of permission.

It might not be an immediate issue if your relevant professional was willing to sign off that the building was substantially in accordance with the grant of permission
