Insulation in Cavity Wall

Looking to get the external wall of my house insulated as the hall is so cold. One insulation company said they can't pump the wall as it's a particular brick that can't be pumped with bead insulation.
Another company said they can pump the internal wood frame. I presume it's plaster, then wood frame, the 9 inch cavity brick.
Does this make sense? Not sure who to trust.

I presume you are talking about a timber frame house, if so as I understand it your timber needs to breathe so it needs the cavity between it and the outer brick/block so air can circulate.
Filling this cavity would potentially allow moisture from outside to come in contact with the timber and potentially cause it to rot.

Sure, how do I know if it's a timber frame house?
Because it definitely has an external brick. Obviously there is some wooden frame inside of that..

read the Op.it says they will pump the internal timber frame, i would take that to mean between the studs not the cavity, not sure it can be done
