Personal injury claim still not heard after 6 years

could anyone tell me if it’s normal for a personal injury claim to still be going on after 6 years I was in an accident that wasn’t my fault due to council road works In 2018 I filed a claim early 2019 and still have not even got a date for it to be heard in court

yes I have been back and forth with my solicitor over this time I’ve been sent for medical reports had engineers out where I crashed the guard that came on the accident has given a statement so have witnesses that seen it every time I ask for an update it’s we’re waiting on this that or the other

Was it filed with the PRTB? that is what should have happened first. If it hasn't then it will get thrown out of court regardless. If it has, the clock stops but 6 years is a long long time. Also you have a solicitor, they will answer this for you, ask them whats happening.
