Hoping for a bit of advice/direction. Wash stopped after 2 mins and so emptied checked front filters/water inlet at the back, drained the water etc. Electrics are fine and even the LED operates as normal when set, door locks but the cycle just won't start on any setting. Any ideas before I call a specialist? It's only around 3yrs old

Going to move this to Home Appliances MOD

set it for drain only it should go into emptying mode, otherwise I would suspect faulty module, (make sure you haven’t got the child lock on)

Unplug it, leave it for 5 minutes or so and put the plug back in again and restart it. Had it before with a washing machine, it had the odd 'brain fart'.

Might not work, but worth a shot.

Although the EU mandated minimum guarantee is 2 years on goods, the sale of goods act allows for longer warranty periods based on several qualities, one of which is durability. IMO a washing machine, fridge, oven, etc, would normally have an expectation of durability exceeding 3 years, so it might be worth looking into that angle and getting the retailer to sort it out if simple things like a power reset don't work.
