    A quick Google of the top five Semiconductors will produce the following results:

    Nvidia

    AMD

    Micron

    Taiwan Semiconductor

    Intel

    Do you think that this will be the top 5 in say 10 years time? Some might say the ship has already sailed on this, but what would an outside company have to come with to compete with or overtake the top five?

    Who is going to be Number 1 in ten years time?

    You are conflating 2 different sets of companies involved in semi- conductor industry.

    Nvidia, AMD & Intel are FABless design companies who design & market CPU, GPU & Ai architectures.

    Micron, TSMC & Intel Foundry are FAB foundry companies who will then manufacture the said products for Nvidia & AMD.

    TSMC will still be leader in foundry in 10 years as they have technical knowledge & cost advantage over rivals. Intel Foundry has potential to rival TSMC in next 5 years.

    You would be wise to look at equipment suppliers if you are looking to invest.

    ASML is 100% the most important company in semi-con industry right now & into future. They have total monopoly on eUV technology & charge A LOT of money for said equipment.

    AMAT & KLA are other leaders in semi equipment.
