Yes, that's a big danger. Neighbour had this happen very recently. They allowed somebody come look at it and within 2 days it was taken.

If you can meet where there is cameras. Don't let anybody test ride without cash in hand. Not a screenshot of a bank account, cash. If they drop it or take it for a spin and don't return. You're stuck with either a damaged bike or no bike. No matter how nice and friendly they seem.

Depends on the bike/price range.

I sold a bike previously on Donedeal but it was a tidy sum.

I sold another bike only this week through Facebook Marketplace but that was a €3k bike
