Requesting a shorter working week at interview stage

    Hi

The company I currently work for are restructuring, and there is a liklihood that my role will be made redundant.

I work for an MNC, in quite a specialised role - and have garnered a great skillset in Change Project Management etc over the last number of years. Its a role I have enjoyed the challenge of, and if I am honest, will miss the buzz and problem solving element of it.

I am lucky enough that my current employers have allowed me to do a 32 hour working week (4 days) for personal reasons - its never been an issue, and it became the norm for me not to be around 1 day a week.

Just browsing through the job websites out there - and there are no real 4 day week opportunities at all. Just wondering - what are peoples experience here? Is it ok to interview and then request a 4 day week? ( I would have no issue doing 40 hours in 4 days if needed), or how would one approach this?

Wondering if any HR people out there have ever had to deal with this and what the outcome was? or if there was anyone that was in a similar situation?

    All advice and experience welcome!

    RM
