GRO Opening hours change

    I was in GRO today and delighted to discover that it stays open for lunch. Hours now 9:30-4:30 on Tuesdays. Apparently it started 2 weeks ago. I don't know if it was widely advertised but if it was I missed it!

    They used to be open 5 days a week and even through lunch time!

    I'm being thankful for (very) small mercies. I have to say I'm increasingly frustrated by the restricted / appointment only access to genealogy facilities that used to be widely open (DCLA springs to mind).

    Great news, but still one day a week… It is an awkward place to find and not an area with choice of lunchspots close by. Best to get in early and work thru and avoid evening rush hour.
