WTF? The referee has sent a Sligo player off. It didn't look like a red card. I hope he hasn't ruined the game.

Sligo 3 points up when that red card happened, and about 10 minutes left plus significant added time. They haven't shown a replay, just because a player is badly injured doesn't mean the offender should be sent off.

Sligo had a great chance with the Down keeper all at sea. Took too many steps though.

Sligo should go back to 15 players now, for extra time. Still, #### the ref.

Edit: Ah FFS, the rules have been changed. Sligo have to play the next 20 plus minutes of extra time at least with 14 players.

Good advert for the Tailteann Cup today. All four counties played very well. This second game has been excellent. As a neutral glad to get another 20 minutes.

I've just watched it again. He landed 2 knees on the Down player's neck.

Hard to tell if deliberate or not. Referee obviously thought it was.

Think they're not showing it again as potentially it could be a very serious injury. Maybe not showing it until they hear the Down lad is ok?

They both went up for the ball, I don't see how it could have been deliberate, or why it would be. It's not been a dirty game in any way at all. You could see the Sligo number 7 was shocked, as were the commentators and everyone else. You didn't see the Down players reacting angrily. G0b$h1t€ of a ref. He changed the whole match, Sligo were on top and 3 points up. It was hard enough playing against Down the favourites, without having to deal with the referee.
