in the past, I bought ethereum on etoro and at the time it forced you to set a take profit and stop loss. Thankfully, it set it crazy high, for example x10 profit. I thought “that won’t happen any time soon anyway, nothing to worry about”. However, then i got a notification that it hit the take profit and auto sold. Great…

Nope, because I bought back in straight away so I didn’t miss the next wave of increases AND now I’ve a large tax bill / capital gain since there was a sell :(

so yeah, be careful if you’re using etoro CFDs and always change the take profit values if you see it increasing lots
