    Surprised this is getting so much coverage in our state media - it's not like RTE give a flute really about Georgia. It's probably what this law attempts to call out that irks the likes of RTE who certainly have their own agenda.

    I'm open to being told otherwise by discussion here but on the face of it, it seems like the government there are aware of the damage that unfettered NGOs can do as we see here ourselves. Especially more so when foreign money pours in to those NGOs effectively undermining state policy.

    I don't see an issue with it once the rules are only used to force NGOs etc to flag that they are funded by foreign interests and so interested parties during debate can call out that those they are arguing against are possibly bearing the interests of outside agents and so should be viewed in that light
