Letter of idemnity

    I have commercial insurance on my small van. I also work as a retained firefighter. The council I work for, when claiming mileage have requested a letter of indemnity from my insurance. This is something I would have gotten before on private insurance. My broker, Chill, have said 'Regarding your request for a letter of indemnity. These letters cannot be issued on commercial policies, only private.'

    Does anyone have any insight? Anyone had similar or are there any insurance experts here? Thanks for any help. New insurer is KennCo.
