Dry lining to soundproof neighbours wall

Hi {first time poster}.
I’m planning on adding soundproofing to the party wall of our semi-d.
I have 2 main questions - and welcome feedback on any of this.
1. My plan is to allow a 50mm cavity between existing wall, with a new 50mm metal stud wall. Fill this with 50mm rock wool insulation followed by 2 layers 12.5mm sound board. Does this sound like a good plan - or is it overkill?

2. The existing floor in the living room is solid wood (in pretty good condition). Should I remove the strip of flooring that will be under the stud wall so I can attached directly to sub floor? I’m thinking about limiting noise from walking on floor carrying to other house.

We are certainly the noisy neighbors in the situation!!

What structure type is the house? You know that much of the sound energy is transferred through items such as beams which sit into the party wall and these won't be isolated by carrying out the works mentioned?

You are going to need to also isolate the new stud from the structure you are screwing to also.

Lay a product like this also on the joint between the floor plate of the stud and your joist /floor. You should also do this overhead also.

Rockwool do a heavier type insulation that you can use. I have used it in the past and can vouch that it works. For sound deading you need density and to reduce vibrations.
