I was in Tesco and saw tomahawk steaks selling for half price. I thought that at half price, there might be some value. Nope!

Even at half price, it was dearer per kg than the Tesco finest rib eyes. So more per kg for on the bone meat than boneless rib eyes - and that's at half price.

What kind of sucker would buy it at full price (€53.33/kg) when you can buy rib eyes for €25.31/kg? Aldi's premium rib eyes are between €24. 87 and €30.81 depending on age.

I'd image Tesco standard range rib eyes are similarly priced to Aldi's standard range. I'm comparing premium beef with premium beef. I checked and you can get rib eyes in Tesco for around €19.

That article you've linked says the opposite of what you're claiming. It doesn't prove it's a myth, in fact, it concludes that you're better off cooking it with the bone.

Please, tomahawk steak is all about style and presentation. Flavour is secondary (But still important, I got an amazing pork tomahawk yeaaarrrrs ago in Greece, unreal but serious wow factor on arrival at the table)
