When I click on a item on boards and it appears and the display scrolls up and then down. At least on mobile. And the empty pages.

Funnily enough , seeing the post about TV’s in the bedroom I think I need one . I find it easier to fall asleep with one on rather then staring at the ceiling and sitting up to all hours in the living room . Which is a TA of its own .

I'm the same. I usually put something on, and use the timer to switch the telly off after an hour (or whatever seems suitable). It works for me!

My trivial, yet maybe not too trivial, annoyance is that I think the new electric bike I bought isn't big enough for me. I bought it online but it said it would suit anybody up to 200cm tall, and being 195-196cm, I thought that would be fine. I have the saddle to the official maximum height but it doesn't feel right, because I can't extend my legs fully. I think I'll just have to go a bit beyond the maximum. Still getting used to it, though…

Jesus, Buzzfeed has officially reached the bottom of the barrel. They've clearly mined Reddit of all its useable content and are now reduced to using the absolute nadir of online life, Quora.

    My dad and his judgement.

Wedding this Friday, spilling into Saturday as its a school friend and its the first time in a while the whole gang is together.

'Oh yeah you'd have to go to day 2 sure, won't get enough drink at the wedding' or words to that effect.

Its a continuation of sly digs towards me since I booked a week off work to go to a foreign stag do in March. It's literally one of only two weeks off I will get in the next twelve months or so, and the only time I will be abroad in a year. Great chance to get some sun and unwind. Yet apparently, according to him, I'm only going because there'll be drink involved and couldn't possibly miss a stag.

I'm a grown ass man, that doesn't actually go out as much as I used to anymore, and there wouldn't be a word said if either of the brothers were in the exact same boat.

Has me a foul mood now.

the absolute dose responsible for programming the traffic light sequences at Northern Cross in Dublin.

Filter light for turning right green for 7 seconds, I timed it exactly and witnessed it allowing on each occasion 3 cars to get around…. 5.15 pm, the middle of rush hour. About 6 minutes taken to move 50 feet.

You're not meant to extend your legs fully on a bike

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,744 ✭✭✭Badly Drunk Boy

I know it shouldn't be completely extended but it should be close enough to it. The way my bike was, it was too far the other way. I've made changes to the saddle so it's better, but it's still not ideal.

bohemians football team. In the derby it’s 0-0 vs Rovers, but Bohs happy to make a dogs dinner of each and every good attacking situation / chance… look very competent and decent in ‘getting’ forward but absolute rabbit in headlights style blind panic / incompetence when they look like scoring / should be scoring….been like this for years. A naive bunch. Every through ball or cross is over hit, again as I type, then Rovers go score as I type 😅. Everything just half arsed or naive with Bohs.

Walked past someone's almost finished new but needlessly large and ugly house earlier, what had he stuck in the corner of his lawn to be? A gorilla.

That's right. A life size statue of a fúcking gorilla. Are you 10 years old?

people with noisy hobbies. An elderly relative collects time pieces, clocks and watches. Very old antiques in the main but newer ones too.

If you are in their place you could be sat back initially relaxed and chilled, enjoying a nice drink only for some random alarm, mega loud chime or similar to be going off every 15 minutes… they periodically do repairs on them and it’s part of the ‘process’ but I think they forget to deactivate the alarm sometimes.. if I ever go deaf I’ll be blaming them in part.

Had to go to the local rip-off place to print off a file, I was very clear on what I wanted and went to browse the rest of the shop, once half of the doc was printed I was given it to inspect, it was double sided(that is a disaster!!). I asked that the next doc was single-sided which it was, and asked for the receipt and it showed both the single and double-sized printing was charged at the same rate and was that was the higher rate according to their price list.

Ta in itself, now my brain is trying to beat me up by double-checking constantly if I asked for it to be single-sided and another part is saying who prints anything without checking with the customer how they wanted it presented on the printer?, ta2 16 pages cost me 10€!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Texting has even ruined graffiti artists “Fuk U” written on a pillar. Annoyed me more than the vandalism itself.

    Gutters in town centers!

There should be a law that makes businesses keep their gutters clear so they don't overspill all over the shoppers on the street.

Wake me up when it's all over.

People who drop, spill or break stuff and then only do a half arsed job cleaning it up… you don’t need a mathematics degree or any advanced levels of physical dexterity to use a brush and a pan… you spill or break something be diligent enough to clean it up 1000%, especially when glass is involved…

Everywhere stinks this morning. A stink of diesel fumes from the local GAA club for some reason, a stink of boiled cabbage farts from the sewer line running under the road on the way to the bus stop, and a stink of putrid tobacco smoke from some smoking twat at the bus stop.

Because I'm dyspraxic, Im constantly overfill things and in this case my morning mug. So I get to where Im going and head back for tissue to dry up the dribbles on the lino. Every single am, I get the same angry look from the same person pointing to their litter basket to illustrate that in the 5 seconds since I went past their desk they have "cleaned up" for me.

Ta It was literally 5 seconds and ta2 they'll be over at coffee break to give me a lecture on my stupidity bc I can't fill a cup properly! As they are here most of this month, no doubt I'll get the be more careful, someone could have slipped on that "spill" lecture.

Been going to different companies getting quotes for stuff I need doing in the house. One company keeps ringing me and it's driving me mad!

I have your quote, if I want your business, I'll call you. The hard sell is annoying.

Fixed shower heads in hotel bathrooms. Especially if they don't give you a shower cap. Sometimes I just want a quick shower to freshen up, not to wash my hair.

Still fuming about this ta that happened in work today..I'd say I use the vending machine about twice a year but had to get a bag of tayto today as I had a craving for them...was enjoying them at my desk when a colleague (that I really like) stopped for a chat and just helped themselves from the bag...fuming..I know it might sound bad but I couldn't eat anymore then so I offered him the rest of the almost full bag but he refused as he was due to go on lunch and didn't want to ruin his appetite.....fffffsss dont put your hand in someone elses crisp bag.…🙄🙄😁

My windows are filthy after yesterday's storm. It's cold and I don't feel in the mood to wash them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,688 ✭✭✭Mollyb60

May I add waterfall showers to this TA? They're a massive pain in the arse when you dont want to get your hair wet. But they're all the rage in hotels recently.

My personal TA for the day is I've tried the powder dip nail polish stuff for the first time. The kit I got said to do the dip bit 4 times but this has just resulted in nails that are ridiculously thick (even after me spending ages filing them to try thin them out). I don't usually do fake nails or gel nails so it just feels like I've massive claws on my fingers and everything is so awkward to do. I dunno how anyone gets on with massive nails. My nails are also a bit sore coz these feel so heavy.

Especially if they are one of those who stick crisp and fingers into their mouth then go for a second helping 😡😡😡

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,071 ✭✭✭✭Dial Hard

Got eaten alive by mosquitoes in Milan the past few days and all the bites are trying to go fully volcanic on me. The bite I got in Spain in August (that the doctor thought was from a spider) still hasn't fully healed, ffs. It would appear I'm just violently allergic to mosquito bites.

That would annoy me too. 😡 Keep your mitts out of my crisps! I'd shove the bag into a drawer next time. (I have no shame.)
