Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    It would have ZERO impact.

Everyone that hates him , would hate him just as much as it would just confirm all their views.

Everyone that loves him would either refuse to believe it , or blame it on Melania for not being a good "Trad Wife" and forcing him to look elsewhere for comfort.

The Evangelicals would forgive their "imperfect vessel" because he's going to help them create Gilead so they don't care what he does.

It shows up the ridiculous claim that the MSM is out to get Trump.

We saw during the Daniles trial that massive print media barrons were actively burying stories that they felt would harm him.

There is no reason to think that isn't still the case. And without people willing to be on the record other journalists are going to be stopped from printing any stories.

    Yup.

There is nothing that will bring down Trump.

Which is f*cking insane when you think about it.

Only way to deal with him is start locking him up for all the times he's broken the law. Same conditions as other prisoners. Regulated internet, phone etc. It's mad that the republicans let this get so far.

The problem was always going to be…

"What happens when regular folk start to spurn you and you need constant reassurance that you're great/right, when you're not?"

The only answer to that is you surround yourself with ever decreasing quality of folk.

At first, they might have some semblance of normality or respectability, but as things get worse and reality is threatening to bite, you delve deeper into the pit of available lackies, just so you can't delude yourself into thinking things are fine.

This is where we currently are.

In 2016, there were some very respectable names. Old school Republicans.

Then they started to fall away.

He had the bones of an outwardly respectable crew in 2020.

Scandal after scandal, court case after court case, embarrassing event after event...

His crowds are dwindling, his case hearings are imminent, his debate was a disaster. He can't/won't reverse course. He only doubles down.

    Things are looking drastic.

Now... What we have left are the ultra MAGAs, MTG, Gaetz, Loomer, etc.

He's circling the drain with these guys. Loomer has the potential to pull him under......

Remember Smartmatic, the other voting machine company accused by CFTrumps lackeys at Newsmax, of being agents of the Venezuelan government? Their defamation suit finally can move forward. Dominion won nearly $1bn. Good luck Smartmatic.

They had better move fast while there's anything left in the pot to sue him for.

You’d wonder how much of a hit the likes of NewsMax can take there. Fox News had to take a serious haircur when this happened to them, but they could survive it. The likes of NewsMax might not have that kind of cash. The Dominion ruling alone might be enough to cripple them if they don’t have access to such a high amount.

Jesus. I was listening to a podcast that were talking about what would happen to the Republican party post Trump.

Would it go back to the centre, or carry on to the right?

    It wasn't good news.

A lot of republicans are looking for someone like (or indeed the man himself)...

Tucker Carlson to lead the party.

It will be very interesting to see what the real constitutional Republicans would do in that case!

Journalists asks Trump : "Do you denounce the bomb threats in Springfield Ohio?"

It's pretty simple to answer. I hate all violence. we are a democracy we deal with our differences at the ballot box..that sort of intimidation has no place in our society and I know our fabulous law enforcement men and women will hunt down those responsible and they will face the full extent of the law..

That is what a normal person would say. A normal person who doesn't see violence as a way to get what they want.

But not Trump. Instead, he answered: "I don't know what happened with the, eh, bomb threats. I know that it has been taken over by illegal migrants, and thats a terrible thing that happened. Springfield was this beautiful town, and now they're going through hell"

What does he need to know about them? He is more than happy to spout any old nonsense, because "I saw it on TV" but when it comes to bomb threats he feels a moral obligation not to comment until all the facts are verified? He can't even bring himself to say he doesn't agree with domestic terrorism since he knows that he is the one fueling it.

That question and 'answer' sums it everything about Trump. He doesn't care about anyone. He doesn't care about terrorism or that innocent people are being put in fear. He claims he worries about the issues caused by immigration, but shows he doesn't care what is happening to people once it doesn't benefit him.

I see that Trump Media shares jumped significantly after DJT announced he was not going to sell whanever the restrictions were lifted. Then apparently the NASDAQ imposed a temporary halt to trading, which is standard practice after a sudden volatile episode.

Of course DJT immediately whinges that this is some nafarious plot to screw him, forgetting that this is a standard operating procedure. Also he threatened to move his listing from the NASDAQ to the NYSE, which ignores the fact that the non-trading rules apply to all exchanges.

    What a whinger.

He also doesn't understand that lying about his intentions for a publicly listed company is very very different than the how other interests.

For his family company, he can claim anything he likes. He can say it's profitable, he can say it's the biggest and bestest etc. and even though he's lying, it's not technically illegal.

But he can't do that now, that would be market manipulation.

So, if he sells even a single share next week, he's in trouble.

He is such a pathetic husk. Yet still his acolytes will claim he's alpha 🤷‍♂️

We've moved far beyond the post truth, alternative fact world and into the make it up and spam it everywhere phase.

Shots fired in the "vicinity of Trump" as he golfed today. A rifle, backback and GoPro camera have been recovered from the treeline where shots originated. A car has been stopped, and a person detained for purposes of identification.

I don't have much trust in the news content of the Daily Mail where it comes to coverage of Trump. It's reportage is usually biased towards him. However, since the fallout from his weird coverage of Springfield's alleged pet V aliens problem began, I think I detect a slight change in how the paper sees reality with it running stories which reflect poorly on Trump.

The D/M.com is running a story by Dominic Yeatman, time-dated from around an hour ago today that memos have been leaked alleging that Chief Justice Roberts took the lead in several cases involving Trump, using the term "Strongarmed" to describe how he got the other justices to go along with his position on the cases involving Trump demanding a unanimous decision from the court. He also took over the case of the prosecution of the "Jan 6 rioters" [the papers description of them, not mine] from Justice Alito after Alito's wife became involved in a row about her flying the national flag upside down at the Alito home.

It's worth noting that the DM mentions the story has its origins in the NYTimes, which could serve as a firewall for the DM if there is strong kickback from the courts over it.

Kamala needs to condemn this latest shooting attempt unequivocally, no but this or that.

Why? Trump didn't condemn the bomb threats in Springfield so apparently until all the facts are known it's fine to simply say you don't know much about it enough.

She should, and like after the assination attempt will, but it odd that Trump supporters always demand higher standards from everyone else except Trump
