    LOCK HIM UP!

And before we hear any nonsense from Trump defenders about this being a political verdict, remember Trump was convicted in court by a jury of his peers.

So show us your posts where you criticised Trump for "LOCK HER UP", before trying to play that card.

I'm looking forward to the rants

We should take bets on what the main defences will be. I'm going with "It's unfair that the trial for crimes that happened in New York took place in New York which is a blue state. The trial should have been held in the ballroom of Mar-A-Lago with Jean Pirro as judge and Trump's family as the jury. Only way Trump would have gotten a fair trial free from Biden's influence!"

What happens now? Will he just appeal it and go on back to the campaign trail or are there more serious repercussions for him shortly?

    July 11th sentencing date

Exquisite. Absolutely exquisite. It took far too long to bring this glorified snake oil salesman to heel but this might finally be it.

We sat again for an hour and a half discussing maps and figures and always getting back to that most damnable creation of the perverted ingenuity of man - the County of Tyrone.

It's like the Eurovision counts coming in lol

He'll definitely appeal, but almost certain no appeal hearing would take place before the election. Sentencing on July 11th, but unlikely to face jail time as the crimes are non-violent, he's a first-time offender (the E. Jean Carroll case was a civil lawsuit). Don't know what restrictions will be put on him as part of sentencing though.

"The former president - now a convicted criminal - is about to speak to the media."

    His new title.

    lock him up

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,073 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Oh, absolutely he's going to appeal this. It was discussed what would happen if this result happened, and it could take years to get a final decision.

What happens if Trump is convicted in hush-money trial?

A FAR better result than I expected but I'm still not convinced he'll see any real punishment. For that we'll have to wait until after the election, I believe.

Still going to be the next President. Mind boggles!
