If it’s Harris he's up against, he has a lot of mud to throw at her- he’ll hold her responsible for anything under Biden for starters and that’s before he’ll go back in time and talk about her “mixed” record as prosecutor.

I see a few articles today in the papers with the journalists “resigned” to the fact that Trump will win now. I don’t think that’s a certainty …yet..but if Harris is candidate, she needs an excellent VP to back her up and they both need to be seen out canvassing as a team effort.

It’s a big ask for Harris to come back from where she is in the polls as VP and go ahead of Trump- she and the party have very little time to get their act together as we know Trump has already started his planning against her.

I’ll remain optimistic for the next number of weeks but if the whole thing isn’t sorted quickly then I’d be in agreement with those journalists that it’s game over

First 9' of this audio clip is about Trump/Vance.

It seems Don Junior is the one pushing Vance as "he saw him on tv".

Author also reckons Trump has been wearing a pantyliner on his ear and
should get Carefree to sponsor, seems ironic for a rapist.

The ironic part of it all is that trump dropping out would be the best thing for the republican party, but the guy they chose would never ever consider doing that!

There is a reason Trump and the GOP went all in on the Sleepy Joe and Biden is too old narrative. Its because they really had nothing else.

Now with that gone, they really are stuck with Harris. It will revert back to the 'she is not very nice' line they went with for HC. The problem is that Harris is not HC. She doesn't have the baggage. While she might not be liked, she is not disliked. At least not for any real reasons.

Harris should easily be able to counter any Trump arguments. Mixed record as a prosetur is still better than a failed and failing record as a defendent and now convicted fraudster, sexual assaulter etc.

This wil now be spun with Trump and the right wing as great news, when in fact it really is terrible for Trump. The one area that was really holding Biden back was his age. It has been a problem since 2020 and was only becoming a larger factor as each day passes.

Dems were worried about drawing too much attention to Trump clear mess ups as they knew Biden was due another one any second. they won't have that fear with Harris.

The mud will still be thrown- let’s face it Trump doesn’t belief in “Truth” so he’ll simply blame Harris for any issues previously blamed on Biden- that’s a given - it won’t really impact Harris per se except that shell need to anticipate and prepare for that - if she can show that she can stand up to Trump in a way that appeals to voters, she’ll get those precious undecided voters on side

All she has to do is look mature, and reasonable. No easy task when faced with the orange baby spouting gibberish and lies.

Trump said he wanted Sleepy Crooked Joe NOT to be the Dem candidate, going on about his ability as a candidate. He wanted a younger more fit person as his opponent in the race. He's gotten his wish.

Everlast75 posted an image of a cheque signed by Trump given to State AG Harris's election campaign years back. While the image is capable of more than one interpretation, it's powerful enough, if some "dirty tricks dept" tries to use it as a suggestion of a link between her and Trump, to be reversed against Trump.

He's boasted often enough about his financial ability for the cheque to be seen as a signed statement that he recognized her ability as a lawyer and prosecutor and an up and coming person to provide her campaign with financial support, something she can say in any face to face meeting with him.

He says some dumb s#€t alright but was it not Trump that was instrumental in bringing forward operation warp speed and therefore the vaccines that got us out of Covid?

It’s not the easiest of things to do as Clinton found out to her cost - Trump will be baiting her time and time again throughout - if you play Trump at his own game you’ll lose - you need to play a different game

  • Registered Users Posts: 884 ✭✭✭mun1

    Nonsense !

All she has to do is treat the trumpettes much like we treat them here on boards. Let them hang themselves with their lies and then call them out on a consistent basis around their claims.

    For Example:

Donald J Trump is a sexual predator.

Donald J Trump is a rapist.

Donald J Trump is a conman,

Donald J Trump is a convicted felon.

Donald J Trump is an habitual liar

And then laugh at them of course as they use wheedle words to try defend Donald J Trump.

Harris has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

so basically act like a Republican candidate- yeah that’s gonna get her far

She doesn’t need to act like Trump regardless of whether she’s telling the truth or not- name calling might make some people happy like here on this thread but when you’re battling for the white house you need to lift yourself beyond such childishness and be a bit more clever than that - she will lose the election if she resorts to that approach on the tv debate - she needs to look clever and sound clever - there’s many ways to allude to Trumps character but name calling isn’t one of them

Any comment on his convictions in the 'hush money' trial? 34 felonies.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,883 ✭✭✭Flaneur OBrien

Sorry, I was asking which Republican candidates had been saying anything like:

Donald J Trump is a sexual predator.

Donald J Trump is a rapist.

Donald J Trump is a conman,

Donald J Trump is a convicted felon,

Donald J Trump is an habitual liar

I thought you were saying if Kamala starts making those points in a debate, she'd be like a republican candidate.

Trump is a horrible dangerous man however he hasn't been convicted of rape

    Not for want of trying

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,982 ✭✭✭Oscar_Madison

no I was saying if she resorts to name calling in the way Trump goes about things, she will sound just like Trump - her attacks need to be truthful yes, but far more sophisticated than simple name calling
