What paint is recommended for these doors?

    I would like to bring these wooden doors to life with similar colour. Can anyone suggest what paint to use and what colour is the wood? Walnut would be too dark.

    Hi, that's not a paint, it's a varnish finish.

    I like Translac high-build, egg-shell. You can usually get that in smaller tins. It's low odor but I found it to be very hard-wearing.

    Could be iroko possibly.

    What finish you use on it might depend on what is already on it. If there was an oil based finish used originally, a water based finish might bead on it.
