frying pan recommendations?

over the last 3-4 years, we've had stellar, circulon and tramontina 30cm frying pans. each has lasted only about a year, with the first 2 losing their non-stick and now with the tramontina, pitting of the non-stick surface. no metal utensils used on them.

can anyone recommend a frying pan for induction hob that will last - i'm not expecting to get over 5 years from it, but it would be good to get a few years.

also starting to have concerns about the non-stick coating and health, and have seen a few described as non-pfas

cast-iron is probably not a runner - too heavy for wife and kids to use.

I did see a ninja ceramic that looks like it might be an option, but haven't heard much about their cookware

any advice / recommendations would be appreciated

Our daughter works in Dunnes homeware dept. and keeps bringing home items that are wrongly priced at the tills. She’s brought home a few frying pans and have to say the quality is good, one must be three/four years old at this stage and gets used all the time.

Dunnes brand, no idea of the coating.

De Buyer carbon steel pan, nowhere near as heavy as cast iron, they are a well made pan,I have one and they are good to use

I would heartily recommend a Stellar Rocktanium frying pan. I have one for over two years and the surface is as good as ever.

We have two De Buyer blini pans which we use to make perfectly round fried eggs,

I have the feeling they will last forever.

Le creuset are great but never let it get too hot. 4 out of 6 electric hob, not sure if induction is different.

yeah, got that advice from sales lady - 5 out of 9 for induction she said. also never wash with boiling water, let it cool first and then soapy hot water with a sponge not a brush

My Le Creuset pan was fine for a couple of years until the coating started getting pitted. I removed the coating with a drill mounted steel brush and it's been the best pan in the house since. But that was only 20 years ago so I can't say if will be any good in the long run.
