Bring some of that back to Arklow please! Not a bad day in South Wicklow, lots of sun and no rain despite a showery day forecast. Pleasant in the sun too.

It's been a good day in the midlands, quite warm when the sun comes out and completely dry. A pleasant surprise when we were expecting a cold showery day!

Lashing now in Celbridge after an otherwise decent day. I was sure I heard a rumble overhead 10 minutes ago too.

It rained very early this morning in West Mayo but was quite nice for the rest of the day and very sunny for the last 4 or 5 hours, not super warm but t-shirt weather in the late afternoon in the sunshine. The rest of the week looks much better than it did a few days ago and it still looks very nice from the weekend on.

    Nice day in Dublin .

Cloudy but mild when walking this afternoon . Sun was lovely and warm when it came out .

Got a load of washing dry outside with the basket nearby in case I had to make a dash .

Blue sky with pink clouds out there now so while not very warm for midsummer , pleasant enough day .

Fingers crossed won't need the heating tonight .

Cracking morning in Galway. Apart from the wet Thursday morning, this has been a very pleasant week.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Cloud and sunshine this morning and now mostly sunshine here in Kerry, lovely blue skies and warm in the strong sun yet just 16.3C.

Reasonable day here on the south coast - Carrigaline, Co. Cork. Yes, cloudy, inc dark grey but no rain so far. As the afternoon progresses, even with cloud the breeze is warmer than it has been for last good while. That chill feeling not there this avo so much. This of course is in our enclosed patio area out in the back of the bungalow.

Yes indeed mcburns. Hope you are enjoying the Dingle Peninsula .Glorious day if a tad on the cool side in the breeze but very pleasant with a bit of shelter. Just after a BBQ and there is a lovely air to the afternoon with blue skies all the windows opened , fresh air in abundance, grass cut and a Toblerone waiting for me for Fathers day!

Yesterday evening cleared up nicely, was out walking the coast in North Kerry, very pleasant when the wind eased off.

This weekend has worked out much better than predicted earlier in the week.

Yesterday wasn't that sunny in Dublin but it was mostly dry( apart from a few heavy downpours) and much warmer than last few days( although that wouldn't be hard!)

Today has been a pleasant surprise with plenty of sunshine and the week ahead seems to be finally warming up.

    Bring it on😎

A mostly lovely day in Meath although it has become more cloudy. We are definitely finally turning a corner on the chilly conditions of the past couple of weeks and the coming week should feel quite warm at times particularly from mid week onwards.

Alot of things need to fall into place within the next week to see if the final week of June becomes warm or very warm. Current GFS 12z shows temperatures of 22 to 27C quite widely across the country during the final week of June for example.

Fingers 🤞 for that lovely weather. Today was really nice, the sun really brightens things up. Makes such a difference. Parents came over today and we could sit outside in the sun. So nice.

Fresh day out in Kilcoole today; not enough sun which made a big difference to the temperature. Needed a coat out for most of the day. No rain though but it looked nicer from inside than it actually was outside!

Today was another freezing cold if dry day. 12c again. After rising to 15c yesterday. High for month still only 16.7c after 17 days. And will still be after tomorrow too.

2 days tad above normal 15 days below normal. Summer 2024 so far.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,022 ✭✭✭wazzzledazzle

Not sure charts are still playing ball further down the line.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,003 ✭✭✭pauldry

Ya it will be 16-2 tomorrow. By end of month though maybe 23-7. So 5 warm days likely. Its 9.7c currently. Last year it used be 19c at this time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,064 ✭✭✭compsys

Last June was exceptional. Especially further west. And parts of the north west where you are probably had some of the best temps. We may never see another June like it.

This June has been far more normal unfortunately.

Big difference between east and west so far this June though.

We've had around 8 or 9 days above 17º in Dublin. Below average also but it's been bearable.

Yes I can vouch for that as our temperatures were 24c and 7 days of thunderstorms in a row well here in carrick on shannon anyway I have never experienced as many back to back , but hopefully end of June, July and August have something good in store for us
