Input connector: F-Type Female but mine is male

I bought a new TV Combi box. The ariel for the Irish channels is Input connector: F-Type Male but I need it to be Input connector: F-Type Female. Is it a big deal to change it?

Adapters can be got in Powercity, DID, Woodies, you might find them in a local DIY shop or you could just cut off the old connector and change the connection.

I assume you're referring to the satellite dish input connector, female f-connector.

The Irish channels from an aerial require a male Belling-Lee co-ax connector.

no, I mean the Ariel. The back of the box has two connectors. I think I found the issue - the guy in the shop said it’s a combo box - you can have aerial and satellite. Just reading the specs and it doesn’t mention anything about Ariel input Straight back to the shop I think

Those are for satellite connections only. The "S2" is the indicator. Aerial or terrestrial is denoted by "T2" or "Antenna in".

Are you sure the guy in the shop didn't day twin tuner as opposed to combo?

no definitly. I was replacing a combo. I specifically asked if the one box would do the Irish and U.K. channels and he said yes. Anyway, just back from the store and luckily he was on. He said he was sure it was a combo and gave me a different box
