[Resolved] nullzero disputing three warnings on the National Party thread

This is for nullzero to dispute three warnings received on the National Party thread last week.

Thread ban was over turned in principle but the three pointed warnings remained at Ten of swords discretion.

I've no issue with one pointed warning, the additional two suggested I was ignoring the first one, all the warnings were applied within a few minutes of each other a day after the posts they warned were posted.

I'm hoping a reasonable solution is possible here.

  I was subjected to a pile on, personally abused, called names reported multiple posts and you set about banning me and take no action against anyone else.

  I'm guessing this will be another convoluted help desk thread from the approach you've taken here.

  Numerous posts were deleted for being off topic, this included some of yours.

  Warnings have been given to other posters too however you are the only one to receive a threadban due to the number of off topic/trolling posts you made.

  The list of reported CA posts is being reviewed now so warnings are being handed out where appropriate, this is why you received several points in a short space of time.

  On what basis do you wish to dispute this?

  I don't believe the warnings would typically carry points.

  Your perception is that I was trolling. I see it differently. I was being piled on by numerous people openly abusing me.

  I didn’t use abusive language or resort to name calling.

  None of the three warnings should have carried points and the thread ban was over the top also.

  I'm also not clear on your reasons for the dispute. You say you 'intended' to post once, the fact is you didn't and the thread was considerably derailed by you and others.

  The pointed warnings weren't warranted.

  The ban was warranted, particularly in light of the fact that I reported posts for personal abuse, something which is a more reasonably actionabe offence. Others should be joining me in being banned at the very least if you're being reasonable.

  You personally took exception to what I posted and now you're being obtuse when I dispute what is clearly unfair and uneven treatment.

  Apologies, my online schedule has been hectic at best.

  OK look, where we are now, I understand why you feel unjustly penalized being the only one who got threadbanned but you are not the only one who got warnings off the back of that interaction.

  I will overturn the threadban, if you wish, but the points remain until they expire naturally (one week I think)

  Lifting the threadban is agreeable.

  Points on the warnings wasn't really proportional, I don't mind receiving a warning but I've gotten 0 point warnings for worse offences in the past.

  I haven't had a warning since late last year, has there been a change in protocol for pointed warnings since then that I wasn't aware of?

  My offer was to lift the threadban but not the points (which are due to expire very soon if they have not already, as they were issued over a week ago at this stage)

  Please let me know if this is acceptable to you. If its not then we are at an impasse and you can raise a dispute if you wish.

  Warnings are at a mods discretion, as they always have been. If you wish to dispute the warning(s) that is entirely your choice.

  I'd have accepted one warning, you applied three pointed warnings as if I'd ignored you warning me twice. The warnings were all applied within minutes of each other a day after the posts in question were made.

  Surely you can see where I'm coming from here, I'm trying to be reasonable, I've been incredibly patient waiting over a week for you to offer an explanation.

  If I thought you weren't capable of reason I would have raised a dispute resolution thread already. I'm disappointed that you're chosing this stance

Hi Nullzero,

I've had some time to look into this for you and I've decided to uphold the warnings that were issued.

You made a determined attempt to disrupt that thread. You've also posted in an aggressive manner towards other posters. You managed to contribute to the thorough derailment and spoilage of that thread necessitating moderator action. I think the warnings are easily justified in this context.

To be honest, I don't know why you refused Ten of Swords' offer to lift the threadban but leave the warnings since they expire after a while.

Let me know if you want an admin to review.

For context on that thread you posted in an aggressive manner towards me also. (see below image)

I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt here but you're obviously grinding an axe with me.

I responded to 38 posts in the space of a few hours, I wasn't abusive towards anyone, any aggression you feel was present is purely down to your own interpretation, I was not abusive or aggressive at any point.

Three pointed warnings suggests I ignored one and then two pointed warnings, all were applied within a few minutes of each other a day after the posts in question were posted, this is the issue I've asked to be dealt with here, you've clearly ignored that.

As to the point you made that you felt I spoiled and derailed the thread, you are a category moderator for the CA forum, yet you did nothing to deal with the issue yourself, instead choosing to engage in the pile on I was dealing with.

For reference, I was getting ganged up on by every left wing poster on the site for stating that there's no reasonable basis for saying Jesus was a socialist.

You accused me of defending fascists, which is nonsense, my post mocking Justin Barrett is one of the most thanked posts on the thread, I have no affiliation with far right whack jobs, your problem is that I also don't have time for far left whack jobs either, therefore it's OK for me to have multiple posters replying to me in as aggressive a tone as they like and even if I paint inside the lines and don't lash out at even one of them, I'm the problem.

My expectation in dispute resolution is that the situation in question be dealt with in an impartial fashion, that was certainly not the case here and I'd openly question, in light of your own abrasive posting style, your suitability for the role you occupy here.

I've taken a look. Far as I can see you were just taking the piss on that thread and winding people up which directly contributed to the thread going way off topic. Warnings upheld.
