Thought I would get the thread opened seeing as it is only a few days away. Unfortunately I think the discussion will be who is finishing second to Scottie Scheffler.

The guy is just a machine. Tiger 2.0.

So who is finishing 2nd? Well Rory is doing Rory things atm, flashes of brilliance some great rounds with one crap thrown in every week to ruin chances of win. Solid top 10 again, sad to say.

The LIV guys? Bryson looks dangerous, one to watch. And you can't rule out Brooks, if he can start hot.

The rest? Maybe Hovland? Don't see Xander contending again but could be wrong.

Looking forward to it. I will be on hols so not sure how much of it that I will see. Should be interesting.

Peter Finch recently uploaded a good video playing No.2 a couple of months ago, I'd recommend giving it a watch just to see what the course is like. It's not in tournament condition but still it shows you just how tough the course can be

Statement, I think it's too soon, yes he is playing super and loads of wins, last time this was done was JT who had a purple patch and (relatively) fizzled out, he needs to dominate for multiple seasons before comparison with Tiger IMHO

Adam Scott now in the field, his 92nd consecutive major, hasn't missed one since the US Open in 2001. Serious dedication to stay that consistent, and should have at least one more major you'd think.

He’s a player who just does the low 20’s events of the year. Seems to have his scheduled and sticks to it. Just ticks over and keeps his ranking. I guess he likes his downtime whatever he does during it.

Already lots of footage going around twitter. This time it's not about the crazy rough, as that's not really what Pinehurst is about. It's all about the (in)ability to get a ball to stay on a green, given the crazy run-offs around the greens and the fact temperatures are high so the place is already getting very firm and crispy

Don't mind score being under par, but once there's only a few players achieving that. A winner mo more than -6 is what I like to see

I'm looking forward to this. The PGA is the only major without any personality, it really could be just another PGA tour event. In fact, I I simply prefer the players to it.

Hopefully the course does turn out to be a brute and borderline unfair.

That Morikawa bunker shot looked decent and then it rolls 50 yards off the front of the green. Seems very harsh and unfair. More of that please.
