I put down an essay title but changed my mind wrote the new essay but forgot the new title and left the old one above it with its introduction crossed out. what happens in this instance

The markers tend to be teachers themselves and will be doing their best to give you marks. I would think that a teacher would pick up that you wrote about a different essay option and you should be fine. When they suspect it, they will go back and see that you crossed it out and should put two and two together.
