does anyone know much about this well? It’s on the outskirts of Galway City. It’s reputed to help with eye ailments?

Its definitely not good for eye health anymore. It's a tidal stagnant lake.. Despite knowing of its existence for years I know very little about it, hoping someone has a bit more to add

I wouldn't recommend it for your eyes but any bloke who dips his lad in it will be guaranteed his hole.

I agree I dipped my lad in it one day and three young adult females came straight up to me and long story short I ended up banging the three of them in the grass next to the lough.
