I don't know where you are getting that it wasn't in 1995.

Jim Davidson - met him in Camden Court hotel - loud and full of life.

Made smart remarks to all and sundry - my wife didn’t like him.

Mr Pussy - Alan Amsby - charming and professional.

Monty Don - very pleasant but business like. Got the sense he tolerated “old dears” through gritted teeth.

Michael Palin - randomly met him in a Bristol coffee shop. Very pleasant. Did funny faces and jokes for my 3 yr old daughter. We joked he could do childminder work if ever he was on hard times.

He also told me a lot of fascinating information about a ship he was researching for a personal project. That’s why he was in Bristol.

Jools Holland - was in a queue for icecream in an upmarket London shopping arcade.

Very friendly. I Mentioned I loved cool for cats as a kid - he said his mate who wrote it “struck gold” with that one. (Can’t remember exact name).

Gave me advice on good parking spots in the area.

Said he loved doing gigs in Ireland.

He was in the Liberties promoting Naked Gun 2 and even though it was a quick chat, he was so funny and genuine, I'll always be a fan.

Went Drinking with the Fun Loving Criminals in Eamonn Dorans a few times.

Years ago i met Sol Campbell (spits ……) in Eurodisney (as it was called at the time), he wasnt very chatty, maybe it was the Ireland jersey i was wearing that he didnt like - Face like a wet fcuking monday on him …..
And the photo didnt come out … I was happy about that a few years later (spits again ………..)

Met Damon Hill in Nice airport after Monaco GP.
Saw him checking in at a desk away from everyone else, so i headed over , F1 programme out, Jordan cap on… The face on him !! Huffing and puffing, " Now everyone else will come over"…
I said thanks and went off, while a few dozen others headed over to him !!🤣

Rio Ferdinand - at the same airport.
I saw him walking along with mates, i told the mrs.. OHH she says and off she goes after him. She came back about 10mins later, said they were pure gents..His matetook pic, Rio signed autograph

in the Toys R Us store in Times Sq…. My wife and her sis went on the big Wheel that was in there, i took a pic, and outta nowhere this dude comes over .."no pics of Ms Garner please" …. "Ya what?" i says….

"NO PICS OF MS GARNER PLEASE" … " who the fcuk is that " i says …….. Then we saw "Ms Garner" on the wheel with her kids, and then she being escorted out with her kids and 4 bodyguards… We didnt know she was there til the bodyguard 'told' us !?!?
