Can someone help me find information on social welfare payments while being off work for a couple of weeks. Where I work they have a sick pay scheme but now they are deducting my social welfare payments from my payslip.

When your employer pays you during sick leave, and you are also in receipt of illness benefit, you notify your employer of the amounts received in illness benefit and they then deduct that amount from your salary.
