China should then be investigated by the International Criminal Court.
Surely western countries aren’t that hypocritical that they would accuse a country of genocide then lobby them for trade and investment.
Usually they deny a genocide is taking place or maybe that’s only when they are supplying the weapons used in the genocide.

I often wonder why the Dunne’s Stores strike on handling apartheid era South African goods was high profile while calls for boycotting Israeli goods are so ineffective.

Because there is a difference between treating the majority native population of the country as third class citizens (if even citizens at all) and defending yourself against neighbouring regimes whos aim is to destroy your country and wipe it from the map.

Most right thinking people realize this.

I’m not sure if “right thinking people”, differentiate between one apartheid state and another. It was apartheid that the Dunne’s Stores workers were protesting.

There is a phone app call Boycat. Bring it to the shops, scan a barcode of a questionable item and wait a few seconds for it to tell you if there is an active Boycott against the brand or parent company.

Boycotts absolutely do work. The wider you spread the word, the better. And TBH, if some percent of the people engaging in the Boycott are only doing because they see others doing it and don't fully grasp the reasons why or the power it wields, so what? The 1% are forever relying on this kind of crowd/sheep blind following mentality, so when it gets turned back on them, I can only smile. :-)

You won't know, that's the thing. Pre globalisation it was easy to single out South African wine or fruit with crates Origin South Africa stamped on them. Now that things may be designed in one country, components sourced from more than one country, IP held by a company perhaps based in yet another country things aren't so clear cut. That's before you even start with non physical items like banking and financial services which may have Israeli involvement.

Israel has fingers in so many pies it would be difficult to boycott every single product and service it profits from.

While this is true, thousands of Israeli companies have folded. Post globalisation the choices to replace many of these Israeli companies within the supply chain is not only possible, but often encouraged. Having only one supplier for a part or resource in the global economy is a recipe for failure.

I don’t think the size of the war is relevant to the prosecution of war crimes. It certainly doesn’t matter to the people killed and injured.

I'm Boycotting all animal cruelty - that includes eating dead ones.
