not really as the lands pretty poor for vegetable growing at any scale.

you could ask how local their veg is.

    a eggs and honey.

carrots, parsnips and beetroot are up near letterkenny ( better land) there used to be a veg shop selling them but hr closed.

donegal harvest potatoes are again north of the county.

you can get local fish in the fishmongers, ask the butchers in town, eddie walsh have there own beef herd.

if you ask if lamb is local they can tell you which farm it's from.

I've always wondered, is fish really local?

What makes fish Irish? OK its caught off the coast of Ireland, but in a fortnight same fish could be hundreds of miles away.

Where is the dividing line, for example, between irish fish and British fish, or irish and Icelandic fish?

Usually, fish is told of where it was caught, Atlantic, Pacific, Irish, North sea.

    Also wild or farmed.

Locally landed fish will be used as a selling point as it is usually fresher.
