    Hi,

If you do it properly is it OK to jump a 12V car to a motor bike 9v

Should the car be running ?

Also a portable jump starter that intended for cars. Can that be used on a motorbike ? Considering buying one

    Thanks

Bikes are 12V. Jumping a bike from a car is the same as jumping a car from a car. It doesn't matter if the car is running or not. A charged car battery will spin a bike engine with no trouble. Portable jump starter = yes on a bike.

It's not good to jump start anything from a car or bike as modern vehicles are full of sensitive electronics. A portable jump starter is the best option and available in lots of places.

Don’t run car engine. Just connect the car to bike and start the bike.

+1 for this. Most car batteries are capable of turning over a bike with no assistance.

I have a NOCO GB20 that I use on my bikes, scooters and cars. Got it in Halfords on offer. It's brilliant.

No point in getting a bigger one imho, too bulky to carry.

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
