Some pit stop by the Red Bull boys!

Tough squeeze by Hamilton on Sainz but not a full car's width.

Damage on Sainz after that contact from Hamilton?

Is Karun watching the same race?

Norris should have came in instead of gunning for Max.

Unless they are extending here to ditch a stop,he is going to come out behind Sainz if he pits now.

    Norris pitting now.

McLaren trying a 1 stop with Lando?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,353 Mod ✭✭✭✭Andrew76

And Bernie saying the one stop is 15s slower overall. Right now it looks like the wrong move staying out that long.

You’d think McLaren would’ve pitted Norris a soon as they saw the slow pit stop from Russell. He was 1 seconds behind him at the time, would’ve jumped him and back into second.

Watching the support races, everyone struggled with tyres, particularly the rears. The track temperature has only gone up since then. There's no way a one stop is possible. Reckon you're right, it looks like the wrong move

A lot of this talk on the tyre delta certainly makes more sense of McClarens strategy. It will be interesting.

LeClerc "Why are we on plan A?"

I must admit, it is very very rare for Ferrari to still be on plan A.

    Dark cloud in the distance.

Fantastic camera work there for Piastri's overtake on Perez. They somehow managed to miss the cars entirely. At least they picked them up on the replay

I wish the reply was “because A comes before B Charles.”

Still not yet half distance either.

If Lando can clear Russell now, it will open up for him again - he improved his lap times last time when in the clear.

2nd now, but Russell takes it back before Norris cuts some grass to get it back again.

Problem Lando has here is even if he catches up towards Max, the rest behind him are going to undercut him again, he won't have as many cars to clear probably just Russell and Hamilton but Max has time in his pocket to stay out a little longer too which will negate the Tyre Delta.

Norris made it interesting all the same

    Crofty:

Hamilton hasn't got DRS, Norris has. George Russel hasn't dropped back to help his team mate and the team.

Not as quick of a second stop for max. 1.9 v 2.8, but a new set of soft tyres.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,951 ✭✭✭duffman13

    The hard tyre looks useless

A little early on the softs here from Max

Don't think Norris has a new set does he?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,661 ✭✭✭✭klose

Russell won’t like the team orders when Hamilton eventually catches up to him on softs while he is on hards.

    Norris coming in…

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,036 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

3.6 seconds is poor all stops considered, but he manages to still come out and stay 2nd.

8 seconds and 18 laps to go.

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,801 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Norris comes out ahead of Russell.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,070 ✭✭✭waynescales1

3.6s. Norris gets out in P2 but McLaren did their best to make a bollocks of it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,951 ✭✭✭duffman13

Awful stop, they just pitted Piastri the lap before so should have been fresh and focused.

Be interesting though, the McLaren has looked good on low fuel in recent weeks.

It is pretty much done now.

Probably not the worst thing this is the last Barcelona race
