It's up to Princess Zelda to save Hyrule in a brand-new The Legend of Zelda story.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom launches 26th September on Nintendo Switch!

Save the kingdom of Hyrule – this time with the wisdom of Princess Zelda – in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for Nintendo Switch.

The people of Hyrule are being stolen away by strange rifts that have appeared, and with a certain swordsman among those missing, it’s up to Princess Zelda to save her kingdom.

Team up with the mysterious fairy, Tri, and use the power of the Tri Rod to learn how to create echoes, imitations of things found in the environment. You can then recreate those echoes whenever you like to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.

Create echoes like water blocks to reach new heights, make bridges out of old beds, throw rocks at foes, or find your own creative combination of echoes to do things your way. You can even create echoes of monsters to fight at your side in combat!

Looks like a very welcome change to me. I love the art style and visuals on the closer up scenes, but feel it shifts to a lego land/plastic look on broader scenes which isn't immediately beautiful.

The echoes ability has a lot of potential, though I hope it doesn't shift the mechanic to predominantly puzzle based stuff...its traditionally nice to have some balance with sword/combat action in the Zelda games (throwing rocks isn't exactly gripping stuff.)

Very reminiscent of LttP/classic Zelda, which is always a good thing though.

Just hope there's a way to organise or forget things so we're not scrolling through a load of stuff to find the thing we want..

Yeah I figured it was at least inspired by it…sure the opening scene is the final battle with Ganon from LttP isn't it?

There has been quite the buzz on social media and videos suggesting that the overworld may actually be a direct reference to that from A Link to the Past, and by extension, A Link Between Worlds. Could it be a reimagining of the classic layout, only larger and more intricate?

Link's Awakening HD is a very short game, it is originally a Game Boy game after all. So I hope given that both games are essentially the same file size, using the same game engine, that Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom isn't likewise a very short game.
