RED FM on air studio refurb

Rumour has it the main on air studio in Cork’s RedFM is being ripped out and replaced over the next few days. All shows coming from a temp backup studio in the meantime.
Is this the first refurb in its 20 plus year history? Bauer getting the chequebook out. Anyone willing to share some before and after pics?

I doubt it is the first.

on another note, we used to use "cheque books" not like our U.S. friends, using "check books"

I honestly never liked the choice of radio stations in Cork, RED FM and the others included.

There is little choice in music and not very much choice of radio stations. Radio in Dublin is by far better than in Cork.

Sorry about that rant.

Certainly not.

But still Cork radio stations aren't that appealing to me.

The view is personal. Some like it some don't.

It's not a one taste fits all.

Since you are obviously keen to promote the correct use of the written English language, I'm sure you'll appreciate me pointing out that you should have started your second sentence with a capital letter ("On", not "on"), and finished it with a full stop (".") - or as our U.S. friends would refer to it, a period.

It's most likely an unfair statement from my side I must admit.

I personally find the choice of Radio in Cork so bad, that I think everything about radio in Cork is bad, regardless if they invest in a new studio or not or whether I've seen it or not.

From a couple photos KC has put on Instagram, it looks like the same kit as Today FM - which Dec Pierce on Insta also shows off nearly every week.

Axia Quasar are fast becoming the industry standard. Not a lot of love for the Wheatstone.

Can’t be many stations still using the Alice Air 2000 at this stage.
