This event is on this weekend, please come along if you have any interest. You don't need to register but if you could it would help.

I have been told a few people may bring DIY projects and there may be a PowerPoint talk,

    - Marc with the RF400, showing the motorbike, slideshow and working on driving the gauges with an iPDM56 Arduino board with CAN and 12V peripherals

    - Badri will showcase his Hayabusa mid-motor conversion that he just started, including parts list and prices.

    - Håkan will show hacking of the Air Conditioning inverter and his charging setup

    - Christian will have a slideshow/timelapse of his Ford Mustang conversion

    - Eoin has the Lotus Elite chassis with the Lexus motor fitted, hopefully on a trailer to show (unconfirmed)

This event is now over. About 20 people attended which was a good crowd. There were 2 talks on converting motorbikes, with one fully completed so a history from concept to completion, the other bike has only started but already has a chassis and lots of main parts ordered in the last month.

There was also a show and tell of a Toyota hybrid which includes one unmodified car, another junk car for testing and lots of spare parts to help iron out concepts and for testing. Already the engine control unit can be replaced with open source hardware and the car driven in forward and reverse. Next steps are gauges for dash. Another side project is to convert it from hybrid to plug in hybrid using as much if the hardware in the car as possible including a worlds first aim of using the old inverter to charge the battery from AC without modifying the unit itself. The plan is to feed AC in the AC out compressor port, and get the unit to charge the batteries. This needs lots more work, but at least the guy has a few scrap units to play with, along with 2 cars.

There will probably be another similar event within the next 1 year.
