    Hello -
I can find this from RAC UK site about rear fog lights being a legal requirement

"All cars must be fitted with rear fog lights as it’s a legal requirement. If your car has been imported, it will need a rear fog light before it is allowed to be used on the road. Front fog lights are not a legal requirement, but if your car has them you should only use them when visibility is severely restricted"

I have just got a Jap import (loads of them imported to Ireland this make/model) and have noticed it has no rear fog light(s) fitted as standard.
Cannot find details regarding if its a legal requirement to have them in Ireland on the web

    Andy.

If there was no fog lamp fitted from new then it should pass an NCT and will be deemed roadworthy
