Guitarist Wanted for Dublin based Shoegaze Band

Hi all,

Sun Mahshene are looking for a replacement guitarist. We're a shoegaze/indie/psych band from Dublin. We have a three-guitar line up (along with bass, drums, and keyboards, six members in total) so it's a big sound.

We're looking for someone to do rhythm with some lead (nothing flashy, more like atmospheric parts), and on new material we're open to whatever they can bring! Backing vocals would be a plus too but not essential as we already have four in the band who do vocals (one lead singer).

Influences include Ride, War On Drugs, MBV, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Slowdive, The Verve, Johnny Marr, Diiv, and so on.

We're about to release our debut album in August, via a label, vinyl is pressed and ready to go. We have an Irish booking agent, and European representation. We're planning to play shows in Netherlands / Germany / France / Italy, later this year / next year, so there'll be some travel involved (most costs would be covered). So it'll be straight into it!

We have PR and promo team behind us and have been playlisted on BBC, Radio X, Amazing Radio in the UK, as well as KEXP in the States among others. We’ve played Electric Picnic twice, and recently played a shoegaze festival in Amsterdam.

We're looking for someone who is committed to rehearse twice a week (we rehearse in Tyrrelstown), play gigs when needed, with own transport, and with good gear (effects pedals are a must). We have a setlist of material (12-14 songs usually) but are actively working on new music too, so there's an opportunity to contribute to that.
