Receiving US tax refund check in Ireland

    Hi,

    Does the IRS-USA deliver tax refund checks to Ireland? Does anyone have any previous experience with this?

    In my case, they told me it's approved and sent. I mentioned both a friend's address in the USA and my Irish address. Where might they send it? Any ideas?

    They'll send it to the postal address you provided on your Form 1040. If that address is no longer correct, you'll need to notify the IRS of your change of address, and then have them resend your refund check. There should be no problem mailing the check to a non-US address in general, but if you didn't use your Irish address on your Form 1040, then the check would be mailed to whatever address you did use.
