Used Car Extended Warranty suggestions

Hi,

I'm looking to get an extended warranty for my vehicle, a 2018 2.0d Jaguar F Pace with 73,000 km. I bought it last year from a car dealer and the warranty they provided has recently expired.

So far I have contacted Mapfre warranty but they don't sell anymore to the public.

Anyone know a good warranty provider? I'd like to have a cover in place for engine failure, turbo, electronics etc.

I thought you can’t buy extended warranty’s for cars in Ireland?
Is it just EVs you can’t?

You’ve always been able to buy extended warranties. The warranty companies don’t cover EV motors or batteries tho as far as I know

I can imagine if doable it would be costly on a 6 year old car. Then you have the fact that engine has a terrible reputation for reliability. Any warranty company may not want to.

When the timing chains fail on these diesel Jags do we know what the reason is . Carsimple cover timing chains but exclude where the chain has stretched

so you're saying there's a high probability they would not cover a timing chain issue? They can very easily blame this and not pay
