cracking start to this game, end to end stuff

Great game. What an assist from Smith there.

NZ have given up 2 tries through poor decision making on their passes. Need to be more clinical.

Butchered that last one. Ball goes inside instead of out to Tele'a and it's a sure try.

Jeez flatman talks some amount of horse manure sometimes

NZ lineout has been an absolute disaster

    Horganesque

Interesting half. England's attack hasn't really bothered NZ, but a couple of lovely kicks have got them the lead.

Get Cody Taylor off. Not his day.

That was a magnificent take by English 11 (Tommy Freeman). Beautiful hang time and weight on the kick from Smith too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,676 ✭✭✭thinkabouit

Smith has been absolutely outstanding for The English in fairness, Hes putting on some show.

Smith’s chase back to pressurise Telea and intercept the final pass and touch it down in goal was a turning point. Touchline conversion there to take the lead. He will be very happy with his contribution in the first half.

Talea clearly ripped that after the England player went to ground.

    Atmosphere is a bit embarrassing

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,864 ✭✭✭TheRona

That's a weird call. Papalii looked stationary, and Slade came flying into him. You see collisions like that around the ruck all the time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,129 ✭✭✭testtech05

Seemed like a very soft penalty called in against Papali'i there whether it was called by the TMO or linesman. Could be a huge swing

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,653 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

That one was soft but they're doing it off every set play, have to get pinged eventually.

Itoje wrecking the NZ lineout all game.

I thought England would get hammered in these two games. England have been worse than the sum of their parts for a long time now. Are they finally clicking? Or are NZ poor while a new coach beds in?

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,987 ✭✭✭Xander10

It's not an AB team that would put the fear of God into you.

  • Registered Users Posts: 645 ✭✭✭rodders999

missed the first half which was obviously the best of this. Second half is an absolute slog, constant stop start.

    NZ finally click. Nice try.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,129 ✭✭✭testtech05

Bit of a messy game. England have had the ball for pretty much all the 2nd half but that's a lovely try by NZ from nowhere

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,987 ✭✭✭Xander10

Decent try. Might see off England

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,653 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

    Steward offered nothing there

  • Registered Users Posts: 225 ✭✭FtD v2

Yeah, Furbank is a far better player I think.

Beaudy Barrett has very much still got it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 225 ✭✭FtD v2

Some absolutely cracking rugby from the All Blacks in the last few mins.

That big whipped pass left to right from McKenzie to find the space outside was a thing of beauty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 645 ✭✭✭rodders999

I’d no sooner posted that it was a massive stop start slog fest when it turned into a cracking game of free flowing rugby. Funny old game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,172 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Horror 5 minutes for Itoje.

Conceded 3 penalties and 6 points directly from his actions.

  • Registered Users Posts: 225 ✭✭FtD v2

He’s been good tonight but was playing stupidly close to the edge all night, especially at the lineout, so not surprised to see it turned.

Really thought NZ were in trouble 20 mins ago. England errors have killed them since.
