A friend’s insurance policy is coming up for renewal. One of her named drivers got caught twice for speeding on their way to and from a wedding last August. Two fines were issued but only one penalty points notification. Is there any way of checking how many penalty points are on the licence without alerting the authorities to a possible oversight on their part?
I presume that the number of penalty points will have an impact on the insurance premium and that notifying an incorrect number could invalidate the policy?
