remove old back boiler

I had new heating installed and the old back boiler that only heated water was disconnected but not removed/decommissioned - what would be an approximate cost to remove the back boiler so a stove (either inset or freestanding) could be put in? and what are the chances of saving the old fire surround? Hi, was the back-boiler at least drilled so that it's vented and not sealed, do you know?

If doing an insert, it's all one job for a contract. If your going free standing, why not leave it there?
