Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hue System gone mad.

In the middle of last week my Hue system just went AWOL, and since then, I have not been able to get it to settle down again.

I have twenty two Tradfri bulbs that have been controlled by six Hue Motion Sensors and these has been working with very little need for any intervention for that last three or four years.

Typical use is that the motion sensors pick up the motion in a room/area, and, depending on the time of day/night, and then the appropriate bulbs switch on with the brightness and duration as setup in the app.

Then, one day last week, bulbs either didn't switch on when triggered, or only some did, or some were at different brightness. All the lights work perfectly when I tried controlling them with the app. The problems are only present when triggered by the motion sensors. From the sensor LED I can see that motion may have been detected, but still the light won't switch on, occasionally I see that a particular sensor may be marked as 'unreachable' in the app. There just is no consistancy with the issues. And yet, there are no problems when operating the lights from the app.

I have replaced a couple of low batteries, none were lower that 20%. But, the action of replacing them has not achieved anything. Needless to say, I have reset both the Hue Hub and the main router.

Has anyone else experienced a sudden change with their system, or can anyone make any suggestions as to what to try get this working again.

    Thanks for any help received.

I am wondering if it is possible that my router could disconecting the Hue hub from the network? Obviously it's connected by ethernet not WiFi, but I am not really sure of the way all the links in the chain are connected when the montion sensor detects movement.

Maybe someone could let me know exactly what happens when the sensor detects a movement that eventually leads to the lights being turned on?
