Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

PTO question

I have a significant hydraulic oil leak (Massey 390). Unable to maintain minimum oil level.

Is there any interactions between hydraulic oil and the PTO operation? Or what systems are at risk by the obvious being able to use loader and implements etc,

The PTO in a 390 generally uses hydraulic pressure to engage/disengage PTO.

Poor pressure might make PTO spin unexpectedly. Common issue that the PTO spins briefly after starting, a worse case may see the PTO spin when operating loader or even at full steering lock.

Steering also uses the same oil supply so, you may notice steering get heavy or notchy with a low supply.

Where is it leaking from? It may not be that big a job to fix the leak.
