Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

bus breakdown service

Hi just seeing this, hoping to do something similar more so bus runs for stags/hens etc, did you get the bus up and running? I rang JF Dunne and a lad called Colm was very helpful. He knew I hadn't a Transport manager or any of that stuff and went ahead and gave me a quote for 1,800€ for 12 year old 16 seater.

what i do often worry about before buying an older bus is if you breakdown at 2 or 3 in the morning on the way back from collecting a group of people, and all you have is the one bus, where do you go or what do you do?
There's no breakdown assistant for mini buses far as I know.
Have you started the bus since?

Ask your local breakdown/recovery operators. A 16 seater isn't a huge beast, a lot of towtrucks should be able to lift the front axle off the ground and tow it.

Most towtrucks that you see nowadays are substantial machines and built for the purpose of towing much bigger vehicles than a regular saloon car or SUV.

You mean getting the customers back home after a breakdown

You'd need your own backup for that

A second bus on the road or an arrangement with other local operators

Move as it seems to be a discussion about business start up. Not the rules of the new forum apply.
